Katie Hatch, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Greetings! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who graduated with my doctorate and masters degrees, with a minor in Client Centered Therapy, from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. I believe in creating a therapeutic environment that is conducive to healing. Through the therapeutic relationship, you can gain a deeper understanding of your internal and external world, enhance your capacity for self-acceptance, and begin to embrace your true self. This leads to a decrease in symptoms, healing of trauma, and an overall sense of peace and wholeness.
I value supportive, genuine interactions with my clients and strive to truly understand each person's own unique experiences and to accept each person as they are without judgment. I am unconditional, authentic, and transparent in my interactions. My goal is to meet clients where they are in their life process and collaborate with them in order to help them navigate and find solutions to their life struggles. The way I engage each client varies. Every person is unique, and the focus of therapy is less about diagnostic label and more about understanding the whole person. I am well-versed in the latest techniques and continuously educate myself on new ways to help clients. I believe in the mind-body connection and the value of various modalities of healing.
I am a devoted mother of three children and stepmother to three more, including one with significant mental and physical disabilities. I am adopted and have been personally impacted by addiction in the family, divorce and blending families, as well as coping with a loved one with severe mental health issues. Discussing the joys and trials of parenting, and recognizing family dynamics, are things I am passionate about. I enjoy spending time with my family, doing yoga, and embracing nature and the outdoors.

What is a psychological assessment?
Psychological assessments can help individuals gain a deeper understanding of their own functioning and help clarify possible diagnoses. Evaluations can also assist clients in obtaining academic accommodations, provide more information for psychiatric services / medication management, identifying strengths and weaknessess, and help develop tailored recommendations for growth and a better sense of wellbeing.
