Katie Hatch, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Greetings! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who graduated with my doctorate and masters degrees, with a minor in Client Centered Therapy, from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. I believe in creating a therapeutic environment that is conducive to healing. Through the therapeutic relationship, you can gain a deeper understanding of your internal and external world, enhance your capacity for self-acceptance, and begin to embrace your true self. This leads to a decrease in symptoms, healing of trauma, and an overall sense of peace and wholeness.
I value supportive, genuine interactions with my clients and strive to truly understand each person's own unique experiences and to accept each person as they are without judgment. I am unconditional, authentic, and transparent in my interactions. My goal is to meet clients where they are in their life process and collaborate with them in order to help them navigate and find solutions to their life struggles. The way I engage each client varies. Every person is unique, and the focus of therapy is less about diagnostic label and more about understanding the whole person. I am well-versed in the latest techniques and continuously educate myself on new ways to help clients. I believe in the mind-body connection and the value of various modalities of healing.
I am a devoted mother of three children and stepmother to three more, including one with significant mental and physical disabilities. I am adopted and have been personally impacted by addiction in the family, divorce and blending families, as well as coping with a loved one with severe mental health issues. Discussing the joys and trials of parenting is something I am passionate about. I enjoy spending time with my family, doing yoga, and embracing nature and the outdoors.
Amanda Lamorte, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with additional training in Brainspotting, and Somatic Experiencing. Through my Yoga training, I earned certifications in Trauma Informed Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Chair Yoga. My education flowed through Illinois State University for undergrad, and Aurora University for my MSW. My specialties include; CBT, DBT, IFS, Brainspotting, Sand Tray Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Yoga therapy. I am a mother of 4, and understand the unique pressure on working parents. I most enjoy working with children from 5 years and up, and young adults.
Life is like a rollercoaster, filled with many exciting and yet, sometimes, intense and turbulent ups and downs. We all experience emotional pain at some point, and each of us deserves compassionate support and guidance to explore different ways of healing ourselves. As a former educator, current school social worker, licensed clinical therapist and certified yoga instructor, I believe that humans have an innate need to understand and be understood. Real change begins once that need is fulfilled.
Through a variety of therapeutic modalities—including, but not limited to talk, play, sand tray, expressive, somatic, and movement therapies—I believe in helping children, adolescents, and young adults develop and strengthen their personal attributes from a place of kindness, patience, and grace. I would be honored to walk alongside you and/or your child/adolescent as they too work to find their way.
